Therapy for Individuals and Partners

Emotionally Focused Therapy for people seeking meaningful, lasting change.

Therapy services.

Therapy sessions are available for adults residing in Tennessee.
I work with individuals and partners who are ready to understand themselves more deeply, improve communication, and build relationships that feel secure, authentic, and connected.

What Therapy Looks Like Here

My work is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — an evidence-based, experiential model that helps people understand their emotional patterns, strengthen their relationships, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. EFT is grounded in attachment science, decades of peer-reviewed research, and the ethics and standards set by ICEEFT.

In therapy, we slow down and make sense of what’s happening inside you and between you and the people you care about. Together, we explore your emotional world with clarity, compassion, and curiosity. From there, we build the kind of connection — with yourself and others — that feels secure, authentic, and sustainable.

I work with individual adults, couples, and partners across diverse identities and relationship structures, including LGBTQIA+ and non-traditional constellations.

My approach is:

  • relational (we pay attention to patterns between people)

  • experiential (we work with emotion as it unfolds)

  • collaborative (we move at a pace that honors your nervous system and capacity)

  • evidence-informed (in alignment with EFT research and best practices)

  • ethically grounded (in accordance with Tennessee licensure laws and professional standards)

I also honor neurodivergence, cultural context, lived experience, and the many different ways people access and express emotion.

Who I Work With

I see a limited number of clients each week so I can offer thoughtful, grounded, emotionally present work.

If you’re curious about beginning therapy, I’d love to connect and explore whether this space feels right for you.

I work with:

  1. Adults navigating anxiety, burnout, shame, trauma, grief, or disconnection
People who want to understand themselves more deeply and move toward greater clarity, steadiness, and self-compassion.

  2. Partners and couples wanting to strengthen communication and connection
Including monogamous, polyamorous, queer, and non-traditional relationship constellations seeking secure, authentic, emotionally attuned patterns.

  3. LGBTQIA+ individuals and those seeking affirming, identity-honoring care
A space where your lived experience is respected, protected, and welcomed.

  4. Therapists, helpers, healers, and leaders doing their own inner work
Those who hold others so often and need a place to be held with care, clarity, and depth.

My clients tend to be thoughtful, motivated, and open to exploring their emotional patterns — because they’re ready to grow, understand, and relate differently.

This practice may not be a fit if you’re:

  • Seeking emergency or crisis care

  • Wanting formal evaluations, documentation, or court letters

  • Navigating active addiction or significant medical/psychiatric instability

  • Looking for brief, directive coaching rather than relational therapy

  • Residing outside Tennessee for ongoing therapy (intensives are exceptions)

If any of these apply, I’m happy to offer referrals to providers better suited to your needs.

Teletherapy Details

Telehealth only, for Tennessee residents

All therapy sessions take place through SimplePractice, a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You’ll receive access after your initial consult is scheduled. Per Tennessee licensure law, I am only able to provide ongoing therapy to clients who are physically located in Tennessee at the time of each session.

I ask that clients:

  • Have a private, confidential space for our meetings

  • Ensure stable internet and audio/video connection

  • Be physically present in the state of Tennessee during therapy sessions

  • (For partners) Attend sessions from the same location, to support attunement, clarity, and the neuroscience of connection

If you’re traveling out of state briefly, reach out—continuity of care is important, and we can discuss options as appropriate.

Intensives are an exception and may be available to clients who reside outside Tennessee. Please contact me directly to explore whether this may be a fit.

What to Expect in a First Session

Our first full session is a gentle, grounded beginning. We’ll move at a pace that feels steady for you.

In that session, we will:

  • Clarify what’s bringing you to therapy now

  • Explore your emotional landscape, history, and relationship patterns

  • Identify what matters most to you and what you hope will feel different

  • Begin mapping the patterns, strengths, and openings that will guide our work

You don’t need to prepare anything. You don’t need to tell your whole story at once.
Your pacing matters. Your body and emotions set the rhythm.

Not at this time, with the exception of intensives. All therapy is offered through SimplePractice, a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform.

What is your cancellation policy?

Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance but can provide a superbill upon request for clients who wish to seek reimbursement independently.

What happens after the first session?

After our first session, we’ll determine a rhythm that best supports your work — typically once or twice per month. We’ll continue exploring emotional and relational patterns, strengthening connection, and developing new ways of responding that feel clearer, steadier, and more aligned with who you want to be.

For couples and partners:
Our first session is together. Then, each partner meets with me individually for one full session so I can understand your attachment histories and relational context. After that, we return to meeting together for the remainder of treatment. Additional individual sessions may occur during the course of therapy if clinically appropriate.
